How Well Do You Understand the Culture of Your Leadership Teams?
Culture starts at the top - with leadership
The culture and tone of teams of leaders are going to shape and define the functional culture of the organization. If a culture is defined to any extent by patterns of behavior then identifying and understanding the collective behavioral preferences of a team can provide insight into the culture of that team as well as the culture they are creating and supporting around them.
Using a Behavioral Preference Assessment it is possible to assess the patterns of individual leaders and in those spaces where behavioral preferences are shared by a majority of individuals the current culture of leadership can be understood. This is the first step in Unlocking Cultural Transformation.
Behavioral Assessments are different
Unlike most assessments that look at individual personalities, the Behavioral Preference Assessment evaluates where individuals naturally prefer to spend their time and energy. These are behavioral choices. And unlike personality, behavioral choices are exactly that – choices. Through positive reinforcement and support, different choices can be made and difference behavior patterns can emerge.
D2 Alchemy is certified and authorized to use the Harrison Assessment of Behavioral Preferences. This assessment can be used to evaluate individual behavioral preferences as a path to identifying those behaviors that are not supporting success as a leader.
When a team of leaders participate in the Harrison Assessment the results of a team can be collectively evaluated to identify dominant patterns of behavior within the team. When a large majority of a team are found to share a common pattern of behavior it becomes a marker that starts to define the culture of the team and the dynamics of how the team is functioning in their work toward organizational goals.
